Our
company is a father and son operation. Henry has been in the boat repair
business for almost 30 years. He started as a mechanic for Bill Morgan
at Morgan Marine. He then started learning how to refurbish old wooden
boats from top to bottom. He can do anything right down to the final
coat of varnish. In 2003 he left Morgan Marine/ Hacker Boat Company
and went to work for Bob Melrose at Melrose Marine. He worked for Bob
until September 2006 when Bob decided to close and Henry started a new
business with his son James.
James started going to work at Morgan Marine with his father at a young
age. By the time he was old enough to be employed by Morgan Marine at
the age of sixteen doing odd jobs he already had quite a knowledge of
the boats. When James finished school he was full time and learned restorations
and varnish work. In 2001 James went to work for Melrose Marine until
closing in 2006.
